Prayer [09 Mar 2006|10:00pm]

angelofmirkwood
[ mood | crushed ]

I need everyone to pray. My friend Natasha is losing her friend Tony Herrick. He got into a car crash on Tuesday in New Orleans. He slipped into a coma on Wednesday, but came out of it. The crash caused severe bleeding in his brain, and he has had a stroke because of a clot caused by the bleeding. He is 16 years old, and needs as much prayer as we can give him.

Natasha has already lost her two most beloved friends to a car crash in September of 2004. I fear what will happen if she loses a third. I need everyone to pray, please! Copy and paste this into your own journals as well, so we can get more people to read it.

I appreciate any help, and I know Natasha does to.

new online vids [06 Sep 2005|01:05pm]

Ok quick update. I just uploaded better versions of both lightsaber effects tests. The only real visible difference is with the second one though. I've already fixed the links so you can watch them from the usual pages linked on the community's info page.

Also, I've been adding the links to my Myspace profile as well.

I actually have "Chicken Attack re-edit" uploaded, but I don't have time to add the link here on live journal since I originally made the post with my old screenname. But you can still watch it on Myspace.

Ok that's it for now. Gotta run!

We here at Pea Soup Films have officially begun work on writing a script for our first full length live action movie! While we are not going to give out any details, we can tell you that this movie will have a rather X-Files type feel to it. Also, it will contain elements from Stargate and Star Wars. So if you like any of those shows/movies, you may enjoy this film when it is finished.

We thank you for you support and interest.

2nd lightsaber effects test film [28 Jun 2005|02:46pm]

[ mood | accomplished ]

Here is the 2nd lightsaber effects test film. The actual video is excellent quality but I had to decrease it a LOT in order to upload it. Hope you can still enjoy it though.
The actual movie is about 2.5 minutes long. It's a complete fight sequence involving lightsabers and force lightening. Contains music from The Phantom Menace, Revenge of the Sith, and The Fellowship of the Ring. The actual film is 30 fps and very good. This online version (due to size constraints with uploading) is only 5 fps and noticeably compressed. But it's still good enough for you to enjoy. I've obviously seen the original and I just watched this compressed version at my aunt's house and I still enjoyed it. So take a look at what we've been working on for the past 5 months. It's a little under 5 megabytes so it'll take a little while to download with dial-up.

Don't forget to leave comments telling us what you think!

Ok, question. This is a bit off subject, but what kind of video camera do you use, Joe? I'm gonna get a video cam and was just wondering about the best kind. We're probably gonna get one with the miny DVD thingy, but we were just wondering. Anyway, got homework, so bye!

The first visual effects test film [30 May 2005|06:00pm]

lostcause1020
[ mood | working ]

Well, I've been hiding this from the general public for a long time, but here is the 1st special effects test video.

It's about 12 seconds long. It just shows me and Dave igniting lightsabers and moving in for a fight. It was meant to only be a quick clip to see if we could make effects anywhere near cool.
The actual lightsabers that we're holding are the Kenner/Hasbro electronic lightsabers made from the Star Wars films. I got the saber noises right off of Star Wars I The Phantom Menace. The music is by John Williams (who, in my own oppinion, is a god in the musical world) and is taken from the The Phantom Menace soundtrack. This isn't meant to be a movie and I'm not claiming any originality. This was just a test to see if we'd be able to immitate the effect.

This is what I need in order to get this company going... [25 Apr 2005|11:05pm]

sith_lord_1020
[ mood | hopeful ]

Well I'm officially stating that I am going to save for the following things:

  • a much larger harddrive
  • a digital camera
  • a DVD burner

These are pretty much necessities if I want to get this company off the ground and into the process of making quality films. Of course, any donations would be greatly appreciated. Don't worry about this being a scam. ALL donations (if any are given) will go into the company fund and WILL NOT be touched for my personal use (or that of any future coworkers I may obtain). On this you have my deepest promise.
